ARCADIA

Our mission is to demonstrate that Nature-Based Solutions (NBS) are vital for efficient and effective climate adaptation. ARCADIA brings together 8 European regions and communities — 5 model regions (Italy, Croatia, Austria, Denmark, Sweden); 3 fellow regions (Bulgaria, Romania, and Slovenia) — to accelerate the adoption of NBS and to provide access to the latest, evidence-based knowledge, tools, and services.

We want to mobilise European regions and communities to accelerate adaptation actions and assist them in accessing up-to-date, evidence- and knowhow-based, actionable knowledge, guidance, knowledge-intense tools and services, mutual learning and networking opportunities. In doing so, the project will foster enabling conditions and to accelerate regeneration using nature-based solutions, by analysing individual and socially determined perceptions of risks and solutions, and experimentally designing incentives and behavioural nudges fostering social acceptance and community actions.
