Climate Risk Analysis
Our climate hazard and risk analyses support companies in identifying and assessing climate-related risks. Based on standardized methods and valid climate data such as ÖKS15, impact chains are developed, and models and expert knowledge are integrated to analyse hazards, vulnerabilities, and exposures - providing a solid foundation for ESG reporting.

Sustainability and resilience to climate risks are key components of successful ESG reporting. Our climate hazard and risk analyses provide a solid foundation for assessing the impacts of climate change on businesses and deriving appropriate measures.
1. Risk Identification The process begins with defining the objectives and scope of the analysis. Using historical events, scientific data, and expert evaluations, we identify potential risks while considering the industry-specific needs of our clients.
2. Impact Chains We create detailed climate impact chains to map the causal relationships between hazards, vulnerabilities, and exposures, as well as their potential impacts. In collaborative workshops, we incorporate individual factors to deliver tailored solutions.
3. Climate Risk Analysis In the climate risk analysis, data and information on vulnerabilities, hazards, and exposures are systematically analysed and integrated. We identify critical thresholds relevant to specific business areas or locations. A key focus is the climate hazard analysis, which calculates climate indicators and change signals for desired or required climate periods. For Austria, we use the ÖKS15 data framework. Where no data are available, we rely on qualitative evaluations by experts to address hard-to-quantify hazards.
4. Risk Evaluation Building on the risk analysis, we systematically evaluate the identified climate risks. This step involves close collaboration with clients in workshops to ensure practical and reliable evaluations.
5. Final Report The results of all analyses are consolidated into a clear and structured climate risk report. This serves as a foundation for strategic decisions and ESG reporting, helping clients meet regulatory requirements and achieve sustainability goals. Our structured methodology combines scientific precision with practical application, enabling businesses to effectively tackle climate-related challenges.
