GeoSphere Austria provides you with the weather forecasts for the location of your adventure, be it a trekking tour in Peru, a ski tour in Alaska or scaling an 8,000 m peak.

Weather models and satellite data enable weather forecasts for any place on earth, no matter how remote. Modern communication technologies make weather information accessible worldwide: via satellite telephony, internet via satellite or mobile phones. In addition to complex summit ascents, the service is also ideally suited for trekking tours or other remote adventures and is aimed at both private individuals and commercial providers.

The Expedition Weather Service produces 7-day forecasts for at least a two-week period in graphic form (meteogram) and 6-day forecasts in coded short form, suitable for two text messages. These clearly organised forecasts are made available on a separate website, and are updated daily. If your line of communication works, the forecasts are also sent directly to your satellite mobile phone or modem as text messages and e-mails.

In addition, it is possible to speak to our meteorologists directly at previously agreed times and obtain meteorological advice. In addition to being highly skilled weather forecasters, the responsible meteorologists at GeoSphere Austria, located at the Tyrol and Vorarlberg regional office in Innsbruck can also draw on the necessary mountaineering experience.
