CESARE+PLUS

Further technical development and consolidation of the National Claims and Events Database for Austria (CESARE)

This project aims to support the technical and content development of the CESARE database and demonstrator into an operational system. The project has the following objectives

The underlying database will be extended and completed. This concerns both the spatial extension through the integration of harmonised damage data from other federal states and the temporal extension through the entry of harmonised data as of 31.12.2023.

The current system is to be developed from a demonstrator to a productive system. This includes the establishment of organisational and technical processes for user administration, regular backups, monitoring, regular data extractions/reports and integration into the IT processes of GeoSphere Austria.

The third project objective is to improve the web interface. Based on user requirements, dashboards will be developed and the existing ones optimised to provide a more targeted insight into the data. Based on selected requirements, an export functionality of reports (e.g. as PDF) will be added for users. The presentation of claims information will also be improved to make it easier to access information. This will include a more prominent display of the textual meta-information on the records, which is currently available but not sufficiently displayed.
