HISTALP Austria Summer Report 2024
HISTALP is an international climate data collection of the ZAMG for the Greater Alps, which consists of several hundred time series of several climate elements that go back 100 to 250 years into the past and are subject to special quality criteria.
They are "homogenised", i.e. the older, historical time periods are adapted to the current state of the measuring stations in terms of location, instrumentation and other important criteria. Therefore, in the course of climatological analyses, the measured values of the present can be compared with the historical sections of the measurement series.
Further information can be found in the PDF documents listed, on the project website and in our climate change information portal.
