UV exposure

The UV exposure forecast serves as a guide for taking sun protection measures.

Forecasts of exposure to ultraviolet (UV) radiation are based on an internationally standardised UV index. The UV index is a measure of the intensity of UV radiation. The maps are updated daily and are based on forecast data from meteorological models of the German Meteorological Service (Deutscher Wetterdienst, DWD) and GeoSphere Austria.
