GeoSphere Tethys

Georeferenced research data from the geosciences, available in accordance with the FAIR and Open Data principles.

The provided research datasets can be freely viewed, downloaded and – in accordance with the applicable usage rights – used via the Research Data Repository (RDR) GeoSphere Tethys, together with the corresponding metadata. GeoSphere Tethys is committed to making the published datasets available unchanged, on a long-term and sustainable basis. The data are actively preserved and are accessible at all times, with the exception of data that are subject to an embargo or that had to be withdrawn for legitimate reasons. Each dataset is assigned a Digital Object Identifier (DOI), ensuring permanent referencing and citability. Certification by CoreTrustSeal also guarantees that GeoSphere Tethys, as a sustainable and trustworthy research data repository, meets certain quality criteria.

• Traceable The data are described extensively so that their origin and quality can be evaluated.
