E-SHAPE
EuroGeo Showcases: Application powered by Europe.
E-SHAPE is a European Commission initiative that brings together decades of public investment in Earth observation and cloud service solutions for policy makers, citizens, industry and research. It enables Europe to position itself in the field of Earth observation by building on the Copernicus programme and other existing European initiatives and improving the use of GEO data. EuroGEO, as the European part of the Group on Earth Observations (GEO), aims to bring together Earth observation resources in Europe within the Global Earth Observation System of Systems (GEOSS) network. 37 pilot applications in 7 thematic areas address societal challenges, promote business and support sustainable development in line with the three main priorities of GEO (SDGs, Paris Agreement and Sendaï Framework). As part of the project, ZAMG is developing climate projections for Austrian cities and improving data collection through collaboration with users.
